Remarks:ATIYA 1938, 191: "Lannoy's account of his first pilgrimage is very short and provides no new material. It appears, however, to have left an indelible impression on his youthful imagination, for, in his mature age, he always cherished the idea of undertaking another pilgrimage" (s.u. die Reise 1421).
